Who is someone else?

Last year I wrote about the Daily Telegraph who liked my Egyptian freediving pictures soooo much, but didn't quite like to paying for them quite as much. After months of back and forth it turns out another magazine thinks I can survive on falafels alone. I disagree.
It seems to be a common sentiment amongst publishers that "exposure" is a great thing for photographers, it will lead to well paid jobs. So by kindly offering this marvellous and magic "exposure" the publishers see no reason to pay. They have after all provided the photographer with precious exposure. So someone else can hire the snapper, or buy the pictures with real money.

I gotta ask you: Who the hell is this someone else??

If you see him (or her) give me a call right away, I'd like to have a word!

  1. Tell them to send you a copy of every paper/magazine they've printed -for 'exposure' purposes.
