It's been a little over a week since the "It's raining men" and other classics faded from the courtyard of the historic Couvent des Minimes. Despite the lack of a champagne sponsor (gasp!) photojournalists and agents from all over the world came together and bonded (got pissed) in the old convent. Forgotten for a few hours were the great and horrific images on the other side of the walls of the courtyard. But perhaps not the uncertain future of this trade? Pure genius or a stroke of luck, I don't know, but I'd say the DJ got it right when he put on the The Clash, Sould I Stay or Should I Go, from their album Combat Rock. What better choice for your average photojournalist today? Photojournalism is a shifty mistress...
