Rewarding non-award picture

For a third time this year I have picture in Newsweek (again via Panos). It is interesting to keep track of the pictures from the archives that gets published. Often it is not the pictures I think are my best (though I like this one!), or the ones I'd enter to a competition. Sometimes I think pictures has passed their "sell by date", then suddenly gets sold again. This could mean I have no clue what my best images are, I suppose? Seriously, it's pretty much impossible to predict what clients will neeed or want from an archive. So for stock I will keep throwing my net wide, and keep shooting those non-award winning images!
This picture was originally part of a story on an underwater archaeological expedition on the Norwegian coast, in Newsweek used as a generic image of underwater eploration. You can see the original story in the Felix Features archive. This picture never won any awards, but it is rewarding to have people still find it and put it in print.
